PRISM Emerging Precious Metals Index Climbs as Gold and Silver Reach One-Month Highs

The PRISM Emerging Precious Metals Index gained 4.35% to 239.42, extending its advance to 139.42% since its January 2, 2024 inception, as renewed strength in gold and silver lifted precious metals equities across the sector.
Gold climbed above $4,200 per ounce, while silver surged above $62 per ounce, with both metals reaching their highest levels in more than a month. The rally came as improving geopolitical sentiment and easing concerns over energy-driven inflation renewed demand for precious metals, while expectations for a less restrictive interest rate environment further supported the sector.
The stronger commodity backdrop was reinforced by company-specific developments across the index. Avino Silver & Gold Mines Ltd. (NYSE American: ASM) recently reported second-quarter production of 534,945 silver equivalent ounces, highlighted by a 59% increase in silver production from development ore at its La Preciosa project as the company advances what it describes as a transformational growth phase. New Pacific Metals Corp. (NYSE American: NEWP) released an updated preliminary economic assessment for its Carangas project in Bolivia, outlining a post-tax net present value of $2.65 billion and a 35.9% internal rate of return, reflecting the project’s expanded scale and inclusion of a gold zone. Meanwhile, SSR Mining Inc. (NASDAQ: SSRM) reported second-quarter financial results while reaffirming its 2026 production outlook, completing its strategic refocus on the Americas and continuing an aggressive capital return program backed by a debt-free balance sheet and nearly $1.8 billion in cash.
The PRISM Emerging Precious Metals Index tracks publicly traded companies engaged in the exploration, mining, refining and production of gold, silver, platinum and other high-value metals, providing investors with a focused view of the sector’s performance and the operational developments shaping the industry.
Gains were broad-based across the index, with producers, developers and exploration companies participating in the rally as higher gold and silver prices and positive company-specific developments supported sentiment across the precious metals sector.
The index has more than doubled since its launch, reflecting continued investor interest in precious metals producers and developers as higher commodity prices, operational execution and long-term demand for hard assets continue to support the sector.
