Bloom Energy Boosts Its Pocketbook. Inks a Project Partnership Funding Agreement

A global leader in stationary fuel cell power generation Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE), announced a new project financing partnership with funds managed by HPS Investment Partners (HPS) and Industrial Development Funding (IDF), who are both prominent global infrastructure capital providers. Under the agreement, HPS and IDF will acquire 19 MW of Bloom Energy Servers, including advanced microgrid solutions. The $125M funding will facilitate the installation of Bloom’s equipment through power purchase agreement structures, enabling commercial and industrial customers to access clean, reliable on-site power with no upfront costs.
This partnership aligns with Bloom Energy’s rapid growth, driven by increasing demand for dependable and fast-deployable energy solutions to support data centers, manufacturing plants, and other industrial facilities. It provides Bloom with additional debt and equity capital to establish special-purpose project companies that sell electricity directly to customers.
Aman Joshi, Bloom Energy’s Chief Commercial Officer stated, “Bloom Energy is excited to launch this long-term partnership with HPS and IDF, two experienced and innovative companies when it comes to funding the rapidly changing energy transition. With growing demand for shorter contract lengths and larger-scale projects, this partnership enhances Bloom’s ability to provide financed solutions that address customers’ power supply and reliability needs without impacting their capital budgets.”
